AccomFinder is a student-focused platform designed to help users explore and compare accommodation options near the University of Pretoria. We provide listings, reviews, and helpful information, but we are not a landlord, rental agency, or direct accommodation provider.

2. Accuracy of Listings

  • We make every effort to ensure that accommodation information on our site is accurate and up to date.
  • Some details are provided directly by accommodation providers or students.

  • AccomFinder does not guarantee that every listing will be 100% accurate, and we encourage users to verify details with the accommodation provider before making payments.

3.Payments and Deposits

  • AccomFinder does not process rental payments on behalf of accommodation providers.University residences typically require an upfront payment (e.g., R5,700) and additional meal fees. Bursaries such as NSFAS may cover these costs.
  • Private accommodations usually require a deposit and may charge extra fees. Deposits may be refundable or non-refundable depending on the accommodation’s terms. Students are responsible for reviewing all payment requirements carefully before committing.

4.Safety & Security

  • We verify listings to reduce scams, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of all landlords or property managers.
  • Always request a written rental agreement, confirm official banking details, and avoid cash-only transactions.
  • If you encounter a suspicious listing, please report it immediately to AccomFinder.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • AccomFinder is not responsible for disputes between students and accommodation providers.
  • We are not liable for financial loss, safety issues, or misrepresentation by third parties.
  • Use of the platform is at your own discretion and risk.

7. Privacy

  • We respect your privacy and only collect essential information needed to improve our platform.
  • We do not share your personal information with landlords or third parties without your consent. 

8. Changes to Terms

  • AccomFinder may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • Updated terms will be posted on this page, and continued use of the platform means you accept the changes.

  • Students may leave reviews to share their experiences.
